We designed these chalkboards special for little kids favors. We have tested to use LIQUID CHALK MARKER, NORMAL CHALK, DUSTLESS CHALK on these new designed chalkboard. All of them can be written on and wiped off. We recommend to use WATER BASED Liquid Chalk Marker & Dustless Chalk. They show good color on the board and not easy to fall. Do not recommend normal chalk.
