Traditional R-Hops are 1.5mm thick and airsoft barrels are 1.25mm thick. Thus, sanding is required. Our R-Hops are Exactly 1.25mm thick. Therefore, sanding is Not required. The only DIY required is gluing the R-Hop to the hop window of the barrel.

How to glue a R-Hop?
We tried all major brands of super-glues, only Loctite® Super Glue Professional Liquid works best with our R-Hop. (Loctite® gel also works, but is harder to form an evenly thin layer).
Step 1, (Optional) Squeeze a drop of glue onto a piece of paper, and let it dry in air for 5min.
Step 2, Insert the 5.9mm R-Hop guide into the end of the barrel.
Step 3, Apply the glue (0.1mm thickness) to 2 edges of the hop window, then glue the R-Hop. Immediately align the R-Hop, then apply the R-Hopping Tool.
Step 4, If the alignment is imperfect, immediately remove the R-Hop, clean the glue, & redo steps 3. The R-Hop can be glued many times.
Step 5, Super-Glue requires a few hours for full cure. Following these procedures, the R-Hop should be able to withstand 5-10N (1-2lb) force without falling off.
